What it costs

  • 18 of the 20 programs here publish an all-in monthly starting price: $89 to $299 a month, with a median of $199. That includes the medication and any membership the program requires.
  • 2 of these prices need a prepaid or fixed plan of 3 months or more; each says so beside the price.
  • 2 programs don’t publish a price for it before you sign up.
  • A sale counts at its regular price, with the sale price shown beside it.

How GLP-1 weight loss medications work

GLP-1 medications copy a hormone your gut releases after you eat. They signal fullness to your brain and slow how quickly food leaves your stomach, so most people feel satisfied with less food and think about food less often. Many describe the quieter “food noise” as the biggest surprise.

Most are a once-weekly injection you give yourself at home with a short, thin needle. Two are now daily pills. Doses start low and step up every four weeks or so, which keeps the most common side effects, mainly nausea and other stomach upset, more manageable.

Which medication is which

Several of these are the same molecule sold under different names for different conditions.

Brand-name or compounded?

Brand-name GLP-1s such as Wegovy and Zepbound are FDA-approved and made by their manufacturers. Compounded versions are prepared by state-licensed pharmacies for an individual prescription. They usually cost less, but they are not FDA-approved and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality. Our compounded GLP-1 guide covers what changed in 2025 and how to choose a program carefully.

What to look for in a provider

  • The price at your maintenance dose, not just month one. Programs that charge the same at every dose are easier to budget for.
  • A real clinical review. A licensed clinician should review your history and adjust your dose when side effects hit or progress stalls.
  • A licensed US pharmacy, and a clear statement of whether your medication is compounded or FDA-approved.
  • Terms you can live with. Check for prepaid terms, cancellation windows and what happens if you are not prescribed.

Not sure which program fits?

Answer five quick questions about budget, medication and insurance, and we’ll rank the programs for you. No email or sign-up needed.

Questions, answered

What does a GLP-1 membership fee cover?

Usually clinician visits, messaging and follow-up care. Medication may or may not be included. A $150 membership plus a separate pharmacy bill can cost more than an all-in program, so compare the total.

Which GLP-1 programs have no membership fee?

20 of the 26 programs we rank charge no separate membership; the list above shows them in order of our overall score. Each one includes the clinician’s care in the price of the medication.

Is a program with no membership always cheaper?

Not always. At programs with no membership, compounded semaglutide runs $65 to $299 a month, and a membership program with low medication prices can still cost less in total. Compare the all-in monthly price at your maintenance dose.

What does an all-in GLP-1 price include?

Usually the clinician review, follow-up messaging, the medication and shipping. Labs, a first consult or supplies such as needles are sometimes extra, so check what the price leaves out before you pay.

Can an all-in GLP-1 price change with my dose?

Yes, at some programs. 11 of the 20 programs on this page say their price stays the same at every dose; at the others it can rise as you move up the dose ladder.

Are there other fees at programs without a membership?

Sometimes: a one-time consult fee, lab fees, shipping on some orders, or a cancellation fee on fixed-term plans (LumiMeds charges $100). The fine print on each listing’s review shows what we found.
