The best online ED treatment providers in 2026

Generic sildenafil costs a few dollars a dose at most online providers, but the gap between the cheapest and the most expensive is wide, and some add consult fees or bill months in advance.

Prices are as each provider advertised them when we checked and can change at any time. ED medications need a prescription. A licensed clinician checks whether they are safe for you, including with heart conditions or nitrate medications. A prescription is required and is at the clinician’s discretion.

How online ED treatment works

Sildenafil and tadalafil are the FDA-approved generic forms of Viagra and Cialis, and online providers charge very different prices for them. We compare what each provider charges per dose, and per month for daily tadalafil, how its clinicians decide what to prescribe, and the subscription terms behind the price.

You fill in a health questionnaire on the provider’s own site. A licensed clinician reviews it and decides whether a treatment is right for you. If you are prescribed, a licensed pharmacy ships it, and most providers renew the prescription on a subscription.

Cialis® Tadalafil Tablet (2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg) FDA-approved
Compounded ED chewables Sildenafil, tadalafil or vardenafil, one per product Chewable, sublingual or dissolving tablet; some providers compound capsules Compounded; not FDA-approved

FDA-approved or compounded?

FDA-approved products, including generics, are made by their manufacturers to an approved standard. Compounded products are prepared by state-licensed pharmacies for an individual prescription, often to combine ingredients or change the form. They are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality.

ED medications need a prescription. A licensed clinician checks whether they are safe for you, including with heart conditions or nitrate medications.

What to look for in a provider

  • The monthly price for the treatment you want, and what it covers: the consult, refills and shipping.
  • A real clinical review. A licensed clinician should review your history before prescribing.
  • A licensed US pharmacy, and a clear statement of which products are FDA-approved and which are compounded.
  • Terms you can live with. Check the subscription length, how to cancel and what happens if you are not prescribed.

Questions, answered

What is the best online ED treatment provider?

MyDrHank has the highest overall score in our comparison. If you care most about price, compare the per-dose prices on this page; if you want brand-name Viagra or Cialis, or a lab work-up first, look at the providers that offer them. Scores and the order of this list come from our published rating method.

How much does ED medication cost online?

Taking each provider’s lowest regular price, generic sildenafil costs not published where it is priced per dose or per pack, and $25 a month as a monthly plan, with any required membership included. Daily generic tadalafil costs $35 to $115 a month on a monthly plan. Brand-name Viagra costs not published.

Is it legal to get Viagra or Cialis online?

Yes, with a prescription from a licensed clinician after an online review of your health, filled by a licensed US pharmacy. Sites that sell ED pills without a prescription are not legal, and the FDA warns that products sold that way can contain hidden or wrong ingredients.

Are ED chewables the same as Viagra?

No. Compounded chewables are not Viagra or Cialis and not generics of them. A compounding pharmacy prepares them, and they are not FDA-approved. In September 2025 the FDA sent warning letters to telehealth sellers whose claims implied otherwise. See compounded ED chewables.

What are the best ED pills?

Four FDA-approved pills treat ED: sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), vardenafil and avanafil (Stendra). They work in similar ways and differ mainly in how fast they start and how long they last. See sildenafil vs tadalafil vs vardenafil vs avanafil.

How quickly do ED pills work?

Sildenafil is taken about an hour before sex and works for about 4 hours. Tadalafil can work for up to 36 hours, and avanafil can start in about 15 minutes. You still need sexual stimulation for any of them to work. See the Viagra label and the Cialis label.

Who shouldn’t take ED medication?

Anyone who takes a nitrate for chest pain, in any form, or riociguat, because the combination can drop blood pressure dangerously. A clinician will also check heart health, blood pressure medicines and alpha-blockers. Get emergency care for an erection lasting more than 4 hours.
