Prices are as each provider advertised them when we checked and can change at any time. Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved. We list a peptide only when a licensed pharmacy may compound it for a patient with a prescription. Most peptide uses here are off-label: sermorelin isn’t approved for aging, PT-141 (bremelanotide) is approved as Vyleesi only for premenopausal women, and oxytocin only as a hospital injection for labor and delivery. A prescription is required and is at the clinician’s discretion.

† Embody: Sale price; regularly $149.

– Not published by the provider.

What it costs

  • 12 of the 13 providers here publish an all-in monthly starting price: $79 to $229 a month, with a median of $146. That includes the medication and any membership the provider requires.
  • 3 of these prices need a prepaid or fixed plan of 3 months or more; each says so beside the price.
  • 1 provider doesn’t publish a price for it before you sign up.
  • A sale counts at its regular price, with the sale price shown beside it.

Every provider’s price, side by side: the peptides price index.

Safety

GHK-Cu (topical copper peptide)Compounded; not FDA-approved
For skin use only. Common effects are redness, tingling, dryness and irritation, more likely alongside retinoids, exfoliating acids or benzoyl peroxide.
SermorelinCompounded; not FDA-approved
Compounded sermorelin isn’t FDA-reviewed for safety, effectiveness or quality, and its old Geref labeling covered children, not adults using it for aging.
Bremelanotide (PT-141)Compounded; not FDA-approved
Not for people with uncontrolled high blood pressure or known heart disease.
Oxytocin (compounded)Compounded; not FDA-approved
Oxytocin makes the uterus contract, so it is not for use in pregnancy outside a hospital.

Our top pick is Happy Head

A good fit if you want GHK-Cu for the scalp at $79 a month, with a dermatologist to message. Happy Head sells no other peptide, and the formula is for the scalp only.

From $79/mo 0.5% GHK-Cu scalp formula a month by subscription (20% off $99), with the dermatologist consultation and shipping included

How online peptides treatment works

Many peptides sold online are research chemicals, not medicines. We list only licensed telehealth providers that prescribe after a clinician consult, and only peptides a pharmacy may legally compound, with the regulatory status of each one.

You fill in a health questionnaire on the provider’s own site. A licensed clinician reviews it and decides whether a treatment is right for you. If you are prescribed, a licensed pharmacy ships it, and most providers renew the prescription on a subscription.

Which treatment is which

Treatment Active ingredient Form Status
Bremelanotide (PT-141) Bremelanotide Injection under the skin; compounded versions also come as a nasal spray or troche Compounded; not FDA-approved
Tesamorelin (Egrifta SV®) Tesamorelin Daily injection under the skin (single-dose vial) FDA-approved
Oxytocin (compounded) Oxytocin Compounded nasal spray, troche or cream Compounded; not FDA-approved
GHK-Cu (topical copper peptide) Copper tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu) Compounded cream or foam for the skin or scalp Compounded; not FDA-approved

FDA-approved or compounded?

FDA-approved products, including generics, are made by their manufacturers to an approved standard. Compounded products are prepared by state-licensed pharmacies for an individual prescription, often to combine ingredients or change the form. They are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality.

What to look for in a provider

  • The monthly price for the treatment you want, and what it covers: the consult, refills and shipping.
  • A real clinical review. A licensed clinician should review your history before prescribing.
  • A licensed US pharmacy, and a clear statement of which products are FDA-approved and which are compounded.
  • Terms you can live with. Check the subscription length, how to cancel and what happens if you are not prescribed.

Questions, answered

Do peptide providers charge a membership?

Some do, and a membership billed on top of the medication can double the cost of a low headline price. The providers on this page include clinician care in the medication price, so compare their monthly prices directly.

Does insurance cover peptide therapy?

Almost never for the compounded, off-label peptides sold online. Most providers are cash-pay, and many accept HSA or FSA cards. See do peptides need a prescription for costs and coverage.

What does a no-membership peptide price include?

Usually the clinician review, the medication and shipping. Labs, supplies such as syringes, or follow-up visits are sometimes extra, so check each listing’s review.

Which peptides can I get without a membership?

The providers on this page prescribe sermorelin, PT-141, oxytocin or topical GHK-Cu, the peptides a pharmacy may compound or that are FDA-approved. Each listing shows which ones it sells.

Is oxytocin prescribed online?

Yes, as a compounded nasal spray or troche, prescribed off-label. Oxytocin is FDA-approved only as an injection used in labor (Pitocin). Providers on this page charge $116 to $164.83 a month where they publish a price.

Can I cancel a peptide plan anytime?

It depends on the provider. Some bill month to month, others sell 3- to 6-month plans paid up front, and compounded medication usually can’t be returned once it ships.
