In short
- Hers is run by Hims & Hers Health, Inc. of San Francisco. Affiliated medical groups prescribe, 6 named pharmacies fill, and it displays LegitScript certification.
- On Oct 27, 2026 its weight-loss page listed 10 brand-name GLP-1 options and no compounded GLP-1s. The Wegovy pill, Foundayo and the Ozempic pill start at $149 a month.
- Every prescription needs the Weight Loss Membership: $39 for the first month, then $149 a month, so the lowest month-to-month total is $298.
- On Sept 9, 2025 the FDA warned Hers that claims on forhers.com about its compounded semaglutide were false or misleading.
- On July 29, 2026 the FTC, Utah and California sued Hims & Hers Health over subscription billing and health-data sharing. The claims are unproven and the case is pending.
- On Oct 27, 2026 Hers had a 3.3 TrustScore from 10,785 Trustpilot reviews across all its treatments.
Hers weight loss reviews are mixed. Hers had a TrustScore of 3.3 out of 5 from 10,785 Trustpilot reviews across all its treatments when we checked on Oct 27, 2026, and its parent company, Hims & Hers Health, Inc., is being sued by the Federal Trade Commission and two states over subscription billing and health-data sharing, allegations a court hasn’t ruled on. Hers itself is a real, LegitScript-certified telehealth brand whose weight-loss program now lists only brand-name GLP-1s, from $149 a month plus a $149 monthly membership. This guide sets out what we confirmed on Hers’s own pages and in public records.
Who runs Hers
Hers is the women’s brand of Hims & Hers Health, Inc., based in San Francisco; Hims is the men’s brand. Its terms say Hims & Hers is not a healthcare provider. Care comes from affiliated medical groups, a set of state practices named You Health (for example You Health of California and You Health of Texas), whose clinicians review your intake and prescribe if a GLP-1 suits you.
The terms name six pharmacies that can fill your prescription and transfer it between them: Apostrophe Pharmacy, XeCare, EHT Pharmacy (Curexa), Red Rock Pharmacy, AnazaoHealth and Strive Specialties. Some manufacturer self-pay programs go through Gifthealth, a separate pharmacy that bills you directly.
Hers isn’t available in all 50 states. It doesn’t bill insurance: its terms say Hims & Hers and the medical groups aren’t participating providers with Medicare, Medicaid or commercial insurers.
Is Hers legit? Licensing and certification
Online prescribing is legal when a clinician licensed in your state reviews your health information and a licensed pharmacy fills the prescription, and that is how Hers works. Its weight-loss page displays a LegitScript seal that links to LegitScript’s lookup for forhers.com; we checked it on Oct 27, 2026. LegitScript certification reviews licensing and pharmacy practices. It isn’t a guarantee of care quality, and the concerns in Hers’s record, below, are about marketing and billing.
Hers GLP-1 options: brand-name only
On Oct 27, 2026, the Hers weight-loss page listed these options, all brand-name:
- Pills: the Wegovy pill, a Wegovy pill microdosing plan, Foundayo and the Ozempic pill
- Injections: the Wegovy pen, Ozempic, Zepbound vials and KwikPens, Mounjaro, and a third Zepbound option
No compounded GLP-1 appeared on the page. That is a change: in August 2025 the FDA reviewed forhers.com and found compounded semaglutide marketed there. If any program offers you compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide, it is not Wegovy or Zepbound, and not a generic of either. A compounding pharmacy prepares it, and it isn’t FDA-approved.
Two options need a note. Ozempic and Mounjaro are approved for type 2 diabetes, so prescribing them for weight loss alone is off-label; Hers’s page says they are available only to people who meet clinical criteria. And the Wegovy pill microdosing plan is off-label too. Hers doesn’t publish the plan’s doses, but microdosing means taking a GLP-1 below the doses on its label, and no FDA label includes a microdose schedule. The FDA says a doctor may prescribe off-label when it is medically appropriate, but for that use the agency “has not determined that the drug is safe and effective.” Our guide to GLP-1 microdosing covers what the labels and the research say.
The Wegovy and Zepbound labels open with a boxed warning about the risk of thyroid C-cell tumors, and say not to use them with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2. Each medication page above lists its own warnings.
How much Hers GLP-1 costs
Prices are from forhers.com, read on Oct 27, 2026. Hers shows “from” prices for the medication only. The Weight Loss Membership is billed separately, and you can’t get medication without it.
| Option | Medication price |
|---|---|
| Wegovy pill, or its microdosing plan | From $149 a month |
| Foundayo pill | From $149 a month |
| Ozempic pill | From $149 a month |
| Wegovy pen | From $199 a month |
| Ozempic | From $199 a month |
| Zepbound vial or KwikPen | From $299 a month |
| Mounjaro, and the third Zepbound option | $1,899 a month |
| Weight Loss Membership (required) | $39 for the first month, then $149 a month, renewing automatically |
So the lowest month-to-month total is $298 ($149 medication plus the $149 membership), after a first month of $188. Hers’s “from” prices are for starting doses, so expect to pay more as your dose rises. The membership includes an initial telehealth evaluation, monthly clinical check-ins, dose adjustments, unlimited provider messaging, Care Team support, nausea medication if prescribed and an opt-in smart scale.
Insurance isn’t required, and Hers doesn’t bill it. For FSA and HSA cards, Hers recommends paying by credit or debit card and claiming reimbursement, and says eligibility varies by plan. Its sister brand Hims listed the same membership and starting medication prices in October 2026.
How that compares: among the 26 programs we rank, the lowest ongoing all-in price for compounded semaglutide runs from $65 to $299 a month. A brand-name pill at $298 with the Hers membership costs about what the priciest compounded plans do. The difference is that the Wegovy pill went through FDA approval. Among programs we list, as of November 2026, Sesame and Measured also sell the Wegovy pill from $149 a month, with Sesame’s subscription at $99 a month ($59 on its annual plan) and Measured’s membership from $49 a month. The FDA warning letter
On Sept 9, 2025, the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research sent a warning letter to Hims & Hers Health, Inc. dba Hers, after reviewing forhers.com in August 2025. It cited two claims about Hers’s compounded semaglutide: one described a weekly injectable GLP-1 by comparing its ingredient with Ozempic and Wegovy, and one claimed “clinically proven” ingredients. The FDA said the claims were false or misleading, which made the products misbranded under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and asked for a reply within 15 working days. The same day, the FDA sent a matching letter about hims.com.
On Feb 6, 2026, the FDA said it intended to restrict the GLP-1 ingredients used in non-FDA-approved compounded drugs that companies were mass-marketing, and it named Hims & Hers. As of Oct 27, 2026, Hers’s weight-loss page lists no compounded GLP-1.
A warning letter is the FDA’s formal notice that it believes the law was broken. It isn’t a fine, a recall or a finding about a specific batch of medicine.
The FTC lawsuit
On July 29, 2026, the Federal Trade Commission, joined by Utah and California, sued Hims & Hers Health, Inc. in federal court in Northern California (Case No. 3:26-cv-7871). The FTC alleges that the company enrolled people in recurring subscription plans shortly after they filled in intake forms, that most consumers didn’t get a consultation with a provider, that it hid the cancellation button, and that it shared customers’ health information with advertising platforms despite promising to protect their privacy. The BBB’s notice says the case seeks a permanent injunction, money and civil penalties.
These are allegations. The FTC files a complaint when it has “reason to believe” the law is being broken, and the court will decide the case; the BBB listed it as unresolved on Oct 27, 2026. The defendant is the company behind both Hims and Hers, so the outcome matters for Hers members.
Hers reviews: what the ratings say
Scroll sideways to see the full table
| Platform | Score | Count | What else to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot (forhers.com) | 3.3 TrustScore | 10,785 reviews (5,658 in the last 12 months) | 38% 5-star, 24% 1-star; Hers invites customers to review |
| Better Business Bureau (Hims & Hers Inc.) | Not rated | 4,521 complaints in 3 years | Accredited since Feb 22, 2018; BBB says it lacks enough information to rate the business, and lists the FTC case |
Both were read on Oct 27, 2026. The Trustpilot score covers every Hers treatment, including hair loss and skin care, and the BBB profile covers Hims too, so neither is a weight-loss-only score. In the 1-star Trustpilot reviews shown that day, the themes included support replies that felt automated, delivery delays that led to missed doses and the cost of the membership.
Cancelling Hers, and refunds
From the Hers terms, read on Oct 27, 2026:
- The membership and any medication plan renew automatically. Cancel at least 2 days before your next billing date, in the app under “My Subscriptions”, through customer support or by phone.
- The first month’s membership fee isn’t refundable.
- Medication isn’t refunded once it ships. A medication plan is refunded if you cancel a first order within 48 hours and it hasn’t shipped, or cancel a renewal at least 2 days before billing.
- If you prepaid several months of medication, the membership keeps billing until that supply runs out.
- Cancelling a medication plan with Gifthealth doesn’t cancel your Hers membership.
The bottom line
Hers is a legitimate telehealth brand: affiliated medical groups prescribe, named pharmacies fill, it displays LegitScript certification and it publishes its prices. Its record has two marks to weigh: a 2025 FDA warning letter about compounded semaglutide marketing, which its weight-loss page no longer lists, and a pending FTC lawsuit over subscription billing. If you sign up, expect at least $298 a month after the first month, and set a reminder to cancel 2 days before renewal if you change your mind.
